We had stopped at a Wal Mart to try to recover from the stress of driving in the rain. But, everyone in Wal Mart was talking about tornado's and flooding. We didn't know which would be the worse, being in a Wal Mart when the tornado hit or trying to out run the storms!
With the 4th of July around the corner, it’s easy to think of “independence” strictly in the political sense of gaining freedom from tyranny. But I think independence is also freedom from the junk of this life …the stuff we hold on to and don’t even know why
This week my family lost a precious loved one. My Grandpa Noble went home to be with the Lord on the 28th of June. I got the phone call that morning, as we were traveling. I immediately started thinking about all of the times Grandpa had taken me to school
This month we would like to introduce you to our lead singer. His name is Joel Borg. Joel grew up in Texas and attended collge in Nebraska. While in college Joel studied classical music and opera. He has been with The King's Heralds for three years
My children were in the habit of saying "I'm starving" every time they had the slightest craving. One day I told them, "no, you aren't starving until your stomach is distended from malnutrition and you're too weak to hold the food to your mouth
Fireworks are meant to be a wonderful part of the holiday. Fellowship with other Christians is supposed to be a wonderful part of going to church. But sometimes, there are Christians who just seem to get up your shorts
I'm so thankful to be in the center of God's will, touring with TK& McRae and singing about Jesus. But I'm also grateful for the times we get to spend relaxing with family and friends and experiencing things we might never experience if we weren't on the road
We are going in the studio to start our self titled release on the 5th. I am looking so forward to working with Wesley Pritchard again. He has truly been a asset as well as a prayer warrior for us. This recording will have some good foot stompers as well as some of the most sincere songs I have heard in quite a while
The word Christian means to be Christ like. We often throw stones in the form of verbal attacks and accusations. Who do we think we are? We are no better than those who have sinned. Matter of fact, if we cast stones at all we are far worse than any sinner
With the wedding just hours away, my mind often slips back in time to days of her childhood. The little things that stick in your memory. I am so blessed to have been given the opportunity to raise this wonderful young lady. She is a real gift in my life
I remember well, my mama getting up at the crack of dawn, on Sunday morning preparing things like ham, fried chicken, potato salad, butterbeans, and her speciality, homemade chocolate cake. All of these great memories of days gone by, gave me the inspiration to write a song...
I don't know if there are many of you like me that wonder why certain things happen or turn out the way they do. In the last 6 months I have truly been proven that God is still in control. I have always had faith, but when I exercised that faith...
You should be!!! That is, pregnant with a promise. Some of us have been carrying our dreams for a whole lot longer than 9 months. Some have never been close enough to Christ to have had that destiny or seed planted in you
Our mission is that whenever someone is in one of our concerts they leave encouraged and uplifted. Sometimes the mission seems impossible but God always comes through and every journey is worth the trip!
On Saturday night dad would put a stack of 78’s on the big old Philco in the living room and we’d listen for hours to the Statesmen, the Blackwood Brothers and a group called the All American Quartet. (I wonder whatever happened to them.)
This month it is our priveledge to introduce our senior member. He sings the first tenor and has been with the King's Heralds going on 26 years! He has several nicknames such as the "golden oldie" and "the vintage one" to name a few
I hate the fact that my birthday cake requires 2 packs of candles. And I'm not thrilled about holding the menu at a restaurant 3 feet from my eyes in order to read it (so glad most of them have pictures). And yes, I even watch the History channel
I wrote a song a few years back titled "More Than A Second Chance". Though that songs reflects the thought that God gives us more than a second chance when we fail, I was reminded a couple of weeks ago that God also gives us second chances in the natural world
I want to thank God for using my imperfections in parenting. I just spent three hours in deep discussion with my thirteen-year-old son about spiritual things. It is our families habit to read and have devotions every evening before bed.
We just returned from four days in Myrtle Beach, SC. Wow! What a time we had! This is 2nd G’s second year to sing at Singing In The Sun, which is promoted by Ray Flynn of Abraham Productions. Remember the days of youth camp? We’ve decided that Singing In The Sun reminds us of those days
As I walk through this life I find that "TRUE" friends are rare and hard to find. Everybody says they want to be your friend, but that doesn't necessarily mean they want to be a forever friend; it could mean they just want to be your friend for the moment
The last couple of weeks I have been drawn to the words of a song I remember from childhood. It says, "As it was in the days of Noah, so the coming of the Lord shall be. When violence filled the Earth, when sin and crime ran free".
Have you ever had one of those times when you had butterflies? You knew you needed to say just the right thing. You were determined to get it right and then...God moves in and you move over and what you have to say pales in comparison to the God plan of the conversation
I find pennies. I find pennies so often; it has actually become humorous to my family. I always say, “I find pennies because I’m looking for them.”
August 1, 2007, Aaron and Amanda Crabb Ministries will be going full time. God has given Aaron and I a heart to see the lost saved, and those that are bound set free. No matter what it is that has them bound....
We certainly hope that this month finds you well and warm. We don't know about you, but everywhere we have traveled for the most part has been just a little on the cool side. We can't wait for all those outdoor concerts and mosquitoes!!Yea!
One day not long ago while browsing a flea market disguised as an antique store, my eyes fell upon a stack of used books. I normally wouldn’t stop to glance at paperbacks. They’re just not at all what I’m interested in.
We have been getting started on a recording I believe you will enjoy. I will have a little more on that in weeks to come. We are also getting the ball rolling on our next New Haven Records release. That one will be a while as we plan to take our time searching for songs that speak to us
