Can you believe how quickly time flies! It seems like only yesterday we were packing up equipment, taking down curtains, and saying goodbye to our friends as Kentucky CrabbFest came to an end! Now, here we are, only three months away! Where does the time go?
Those of you who have been to CrabbFest before will notice that we have given the event a bit of a "facelift" this year. For the past few years we have had several calls in our office prior to CrabbFest asking us to add a night where we just visit with our friends. They love all of the other artists that are on the program, and they definitely buy tickets to see those artists, but the people who attend are very dear friends of ours that we only get to visit with a few times a year. Instead of adding a night, we decided to make Wednesday night "Crabb Family Night." Of course, since Mike Bowling is part of the Crabb Family, he will be there with his new group. We have also invited our friends Crossway to join us for this special evening since they have also come to know many of our concert attendees.
On Thursday night, we have invited Salvador to participate on the program. Last year, the addition of Avalon to the program was a huge success, so we have decided to make it a tradition of the event to offer a few versatile styles of Christian music. Other newcomers to this year's CrabbFest include the Booth Brothers and the Whisnants. CrabbFest favorites returning this year include Aaron Wilburn, the McRaes, Brian Free & Assurance, the Isaacs, Lynda Randle, Russ Taff, Paid in Full….and the list goes on.
In the past we have had morning worship services and afternoon concerts, which turn in to worship services! This year we've decided to combine the two. We will have one daily service at 1 pm. The services will include preaching, singing, and a few surprises! You never know what to expect during one of these services.
For the first time ever, GMA Academy is coming to CrabbFest. GMA will officially host the talent contest and a series of seminars. At the seminars you'll learn the answers to any questions you may have about on songwriting, building a career in the music industry, stage performance, publishing, and copyrighting, and much more! There will be Talent Contest categories for solo, group, and songwriter. Soloists and groups will compete in a live performance, while songwriters will bring their song on CD or cassette. Special packages are available to include seminar and competition, as a package, or as separate events. For complete details log onto http://www.thecrabbfamily.com, or call (615) 826-7218.
VIP Passes and tickets are still available! We want to see you at CrabbFest!
