SGN Music Awards

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Deon and Susan Unthank, owners of SouthernGospelNews.com, are proud to announce the official sponsors for the 2005 SGN Music Awards.
The official sponsors for the 2005 SGN Music Awards Celebration are DJ Man Promotions, Lamp Music Group, and Sweetest Song I Know ~ A Tribute to the Happy Goodmans, the brand new solo recording from Johnny Minick.
DJ Man Promotions has been doing professional radio promotions for over 14 years. Owner Philip Emery leads a great team of talented and exciting promoters. The company currently promotes singles from artists like Gold City, Jonathan White, Heirline, Young Harmony, HisSong, Sunday Edition, and New Ground, among others. DJ Man Promotions recently saw “You’ll Never Run Out of the Blood” by Heirline go #1 on the May Singing News Chart.
Lamp Music Group has been solely focused on the ministry of Gospel music. Though it may not be the most glamorous approach, Mike & Rhonda Pillow have tried to operate this record company by the leadership of the Lord, rather than units of success established by men. In an industry where companies come and go almost on a monthly basis, God has blessed this organization and has allowed Lamp Music steady and continual growth year after year. Artists currently on the Lamp Music Group roster include Nicole Watts-Jenkins, Naomi & the Segos, Old Paths Trio, Eva Mae LeFevre, and many more.
Sweetest Song I Know ~ A Tribute to the Happy Goodmans is the first solo album from Johnny Minick, former baritone and piano player for the Happy Goodmans. This tribute includes songs that span the 30 year relationship that Johnny had with the Goodmans. Also featured were Southern Gospel favorites like Tanya Goodman-Sykes, Reggie & Ladye Love Smith, Gene McDonald, Alison Durham-Speer, and many more on background vocals. The album was produced by Johnny Minick, Aaron Minick, Les Butler, and Rick Goodman. The first single, “Tellin’ My Blues Goodbye” is storming up the charts.
The 2005 SGN Music Awards Celebration will be held at Belle Aire Baptist Church in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, on Tuesday, April 26, 2005. The program will start promptly at 7:00 p.m. The Awards Celebration is free to the public.
