Hickory, NC- National Charting Artist the Brothers Redeemed Quartet has announced the retirement of Bass singer Doyle Hopper, effective December 31, 2011. Doyle Hopper has been a vital part of the established quartet with his "George Younce" style voice for the past 7 years, and has made a lasting impression on those who have seen him perform. Hopper says “The busy schedule of the quartet along with my full time job during the week is simply wearing this old man out, and it is time for my journey to come to an end.” Brothers Redeemed stated "It has been wonderful to travel with one of the finest bass singers in all of Southern Gospel Music for the last 7 years. Doyle Hopper has poured his life and dreams into this Ministry, and for that we are thankful. He has become one of our dearest friends, and more importantly, will remain our brother! He is about to embark on a new chapter in his life, and Brothers Redeemed would like to wish him the very best wherever God may lead him.” Hopper will make his final appearance with the quartet on January 1, 2012 at Covenant Baptist Church in Conover, NC at 10:45am.
