HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn—For the first time in their career, the Hoskins Family is sitting at the number one position for December on the Singing News national radio chart for their hit single, “Safe Thus Far,” penned by Kyla Rowland.

The stories of touched lives continue to be told about “Safe Thus Far”. Rowland took time recently to share her side of the story and how this idea has touched her and her family’s life.

Of the eleven hundred songs I’ve written, my mother, Eulalia, has been my greatest inspiration. With insight and a gift for colorful language, this crippled, almost blind little warrior knocks me out!

“Safe Thus Far” was the simplest and most precious of moments. Mother was in great pain. She could have no more pain medicine.

“I’m going to pray, honey,” she said.

“Alright,” I answered, thinking she would beg God for relief from her suffering.

But not so.

She bowed her little head and said, “God. Just want to thank you for bringing us ‘Safe Thus Far’”.

“Safe Thus Far” can be found on the Hoskins Family’s debut Daywind release, Safe Thus Far, which is available in local retail stores and is distributed by New Day Christian Distributors and Word Entertainment.

The Hoskins Family performs over 200 dates annually. They have recently appeared during the National Quartet Convention, on Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN), during Gospel Music Week 2002, on the Inspirational Network (INSP), as a featured guest on the “Mark Lowry Show,” at the 2002 Word International Sales Conference, during Bill Gaither's 2002 Family Fest as well as many other establishments across the country.
