Prayer Request for Rodney Swain
On Friday, March 21. 2003 at approximately 4:00 PM, lead vocalist for the Todd Nelon Quartet, Rodney Swain, was admitted to the hospital with chest pains. According to group owner Todd Nelon, "Rodney's wife called me and told me that she had taken Rodney to the hospital with severe chest pains. We thought at first that he may have had a heart attack but after tests were completed it was found that he did not suffer a heart attack." Rodney was released and is resting at home. Aaron Crisler, formerly with Naomi & The Segos filled in for Rodney this weekend. "When I found out that Rodney would not be able to travel this weekend, I had less than 24 hours to find someone to sing with us this weekend. Aaron immediately came to mind. Aaron first sang with the Nelons when he was only 9 years old by filling in for Karen Peck, who was suffering vocal problems, on "Ain't No Grave" at Opryland USA. With only 1 hour of practice, Aaron stepped onstage Saturday evening and did a super job all weekend long. We thank him for dropping everything and going with us this weekend.
More tests will be conducted this week to determine exactly what happened with Rodney and Todd requests your prayers on behalf of his family.
