When I was a kid I wanted to be a singer and in the circus. If you join the GMA you get to do both!

LOL. I also think the name The Rock 'n Roll Worship Circus is funny. However, how many of our SG group names would the CCM industry laugh at? I would venture to say more than just a handful.

When I saw the name I envisioned them coming out in choir robes ,with clown faces, doing "My Sweet,Lord." on enough electric equipment to cause a brown out.

Chris,Give some examples of SGM groups whose names they would find humorous.I've been trying to come up with one but no luck. Most are family names, home state names,or names in homage to The LORD or SGM predessers.

My point wasn't whether or not one genre had better names or not. The point was that we are quick to point out what is bad and goofy in other genres, but fail to notice it in our own.

I don't think it's fair to pass judgement on this critically acclaimed group just because of their name. It's unfair to the group as well to the genre.

Karen Peck, Sheri Easter and Joyce McCollough will be performing during the Dove Awards Pre-Show. They will sing the song "I'm A Mom" from their new 'trio' project, 'Best Of Friends'.
