Ann Downing recently stopped by Solid Gospel to talk with Les Butler about her new CD & video and its upcoming "New Project Celebration" May 16-18.

"Tell Me Again... Live!" celebrates Ann's 40 years in gospel music and reunites her with Joy Gardner & Dony McGuire for her first public performance with the Downings in almost 30 years.

Ann started singing with the legendary Speer Family in 1963, before founding her own group with husband Paul in 1969. In 1970, Ann became the second woman ever to win the Dove Award for "Female Vocalist" and went on to become the Singing News "Queen of Gospel Music" in 1973. "Climbing Jacob's Ladder" became Ann's first top ten hit as a soloist in 1999.

Ann co-wrote the new project's first single, the bluegrass-tinged "This World Doesn't Own Me Any More." It ships to Southern Gospel radio the later this month.
