Crabb Family’s Single, ‘The Walk,’ Climbs To #1
HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn.-While taking a much-needed vacation in Hawaii, The Crabb Family learned that their current single, "The Walk," climbed to the number one position on a national radio chart for the month of July.
"The Walk" is the first single from the Crabb Family's debut Daywind Records release, The Walk. It features the lead vocals of Adam Crabb, along with siblings, Jason Crabb, Kelly Bowling, Aaron Crabb and Terah Penhollow. The song, penned by patriarch Gerald Crabb, takes listeners back to the time and place of their personal walk and decision to follow Christ.
"When we decided to single the song, I was really nervous. I had never been featured on a single, so I was scared about how radio would respond. As we began to sing "The Walk" live and I witnessed how audiences responded, I felt a little more comfortable, but I was still nervous about radio. The higher on the charts the song went, the more nervous I got. This past week, I was playing on the beach in Hawaii with my baby girl, Hannah Grace, when I heard that the song reached number one. I was so excited, but very humbled at the same time. Everyone has always been so supportive of our family, but it just feels more personal to me now. I'm honored that the song touched people and they responded so positively," stated Adam Crabb.
From their humble beginnings, The Crabb Family continues to captivate audiences nation wide with their exciting performances and spirit-filled songs. The five siblings carry the legacy of their parents to venues across the county, including the Grand Ole Opry and Carnegie Hall. With their cumulative radio success and numerous awards, The Crabb Family is a leader in the Southern Gospel industry.
