Tony McGee Resigns Position With The Redeemed

Tony McGee, long time member and co-owner of the Rogersville, TN based Redeemed, has announced his resignation as lead singer. Tony feels the Lord leading him to pursue other areas of ministry.

"I have been in prayer over this decision for a long time. I love The Redeemed and wish them the best. I pray that God will continue to bless their ministry and give them many souls for their labor. I am currently seeking God's direction for the future. I know that God has called me to sing, and I do not plan to quit," says Tony.

Tony has been with The Redeemed for more than 11 years. In that time he has been featured on many of The Redeemed's Top 40 songs, such as "Calvary's The Reason Why," It Will Pass," "There's Not Enough Time," "and their current charting single, "Just On the Other Side."

At this time, no future plans for The Redeemed have been announced. Please keep Tony, his family, and The Redeemed in your prayers.

What a loss- The Redeemed are seriously my favorite.They never left my car. I actually wish I had another copy of the Canney Creek-Shane Jordan keeps stealing it out of my truck.Hint anyone with a copy-mail me one-I will pay-I just dont ever have time to stop and buy it or stop to make a call for myself.

Tony i wish you luck! I have been a fan of The Redeemed ever since "Oh bless The Lord." I love all of the songs! I especially like "Just on The oTher Side!" Keep singing Tony!

SORRY TO HEAR THAT HE HAS LEFT REDEEMED. GOOD GROUP. I AM SURE GOD WILL PLACE HIM RIGHT WHERE HE WANTS HIM. HE WILL SEND ANOTHER GROUP! AND THE LORD WILL SEND SOMEONE TO REDEEMEDAS WELL.

We have always loved Tony and like to hear him sing. We hate to see him leave the Redeemed, but he knows what God wants him to do better than us. We love him. God bless you Tony.

Hoss, MAN! I'm sure gonna miss seeing you with the RE-Deemed. :cry: You know I love ya, brother. Hope your new endeavors point you toward Hotlanta. By the way, Brother Happy said, "Tell Hoss he has a standing invitation to the Happy Hill Congregational Church Of God In Christ Church of Humble, Alabama, Inc. ANYTIME you're near Wetumpka or Atalla." They have TWO locations to better serve their congrgation, and the newest has a drive-thru window for depositing tithes and offerings only.

I would like to take this time to say thanks to everyone for all the calls, e-mails, comments on this and many other sites, Radio, and TV that have the press release. A special thanks to everyone here at sogospelnews.com for all the good work they are doing. Gospel Music has needed this for a long time, and WOW what a job you are doing. Keep up the good work. Please keep me in your Prayers and whatever God has for my future.
I have heard it said "Just love em and they will love you back" I have tried to do that and it really works.
