Hope’s Call, a dynamic group with a true heart for ministry, has teamed with LIFT Student Ministries International for a tour in youth camps during the summer of 2004. LIFT ministers to more than 4,000 youths each summer and camp stops have included John Brown University in Arkansas, Liberty University in Virginia, and Cedarville University in Ohio.

Hope’s Call has had the opportunity to present the Gospel in song at each of these stops, and have seen God work in a mighty way as more than 400 teens have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Additionally, more than 600 have made the decision to serve Christ in full-time ministry. Thousands more have made other decisions in their walk with Jesus. The tour concludes July 29.

The camp founder is Dan Brown of Oak Hills Baptist Church in Somerset, Ky., and camp music director is Larry Buchanan of Connersville Baptist Temple in Connersville, Ind. Speakers for this summer have included Jamey Ragle, Tony Nolin and Jimmy Scroggins, among others.

Last year the members of Hope’s Call, Donna Beauvais and Jessica and Eddie Harrison, met Larry Buchanan at the Steve Hurst School of Music where all of them teach. He invited the group to record as guest vocalists on the annual LIFT tour CD, The One, which was recorded this spring. After hearing the recording, Dan Brown invited the group to join the tour.
“We knew when we were invited to join the tour that we would not get home much this summer,” Donna said, “but that is a small thing compared to the awesome blessing of seeing God move in such a miraculous way in the lives of these teens!
“We heard one of the speakers say that God performs amazing heart transplants everyday, and we have seen if first hand. We are so grateful to our Lord for allowing us to be a part of LIFT International this summer.”

Hope’s Call is based in Murfreesboro, Tenn. Their current single from their CD Bright New Day on the Belmont Music Group label is “Halfway,” currently at number 49 on the Singing News Top 80 Chart.
