LordSong - A capella

imagePutting together an A capella album is not an easy task. To make it successful, it has to have several very important ingredients.  Song selection is very important. They need to be familiar songs, yet you can’t get bogged down with too many slow songs. You have to have a nice blend of fast songs, happy songs, ballads, and just plain pretty songs.

LordSong has interestingly put several medleys together giving you a taste of twenty songs altogether. I was really surprised at just how close the harmony is on this CD. At times I thought I was listening to the close family harmony of The Martins. Everyone knows the reputation of quality in A capella singing The Martins have, and this recording doesn’t take a back seat to any A capella singing I’ve heard.

Songs include The Blood Medley. The Forever Medley, “I Surrender All”, The Grace Medley, The Cross Medley, “Lord Of The Dance”. The Leading Medley, The Love Medley,  Adeste Fideles, and they even conclude this fine CD with the Ruppes big song (which Kim Lord sang for years) “Under His Wings”

If You like A capella singing, then you will LOVE this one.

Producer – Wayne Haun
Recorded at Dickie and Maxine’s Lakehouse, Cross Hill, SC
