The Quicks - Sep 04
![]() So many things are on my mind lately; I can hardly pin down one topic to talk about! I'm concerned about the folks in Florida dealing with the hurricanes; I have made a point to watch the Democratic and the Republican National Conventions; As usual, about the most important thing on my mind is my family. Tim is back in school trying to finish his degree with Troy State; Rachel began attending MTSU this week, and Rebecca is settled in High School with a host of activities including First Priority and volleyball. She is the starting setter for S.H.S. (Just like her ole mom did a few years ago!) I have begun reading three different books - Joyce Meyer's Knowing God Intimately, Stormie Omartian's Power of a Praying Wife, (Deon probably knows why I need to read that! : ) another one for a weekly Bible study, but recently time has been gloriously consumed with putting the finishing touches on our new project, "What Are You Waiting For!" With graphics to proof, getting the recording finalized, the new photo shoot, a new hair color, (Oh, I guess I shouldn't be telling that...), it is all coming together just in time for National Quartet Convention! We are very excited about NQC '04! This year, even more than previous years, since we are having our first booth! We would love for all of you to come by Booth #422 (Near BSA, The Wilburns, and Steve Hurst) to meet our family! Tim and I will be there all week, with our little cherubs, Rachel and Rebecca, driving up on Thursday. (I will be doing a lot of praying that day!) We are planning a daily drawing - so get by our booth to register! My verse for the week is Psalm 63:1 - "Oh GOD, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is." This is one of the most awesome families I have ever known. They have all of their priorities in order. You can feel Gods love if you talk to them in person or see them in a concert. With all the love this family has for everybody, no wonder their harmony is so tight on stage. If you get a chance to see them in concert please do so. You will feel you have known this family all of your life.
