Naomi Sego – The Seeds I Have Sown
![]() Producer: Mike Pillow Naomi Sego is a name synonymous with Southern Gospel Music. She is truly a legend in her own time, and is one of the classiest ladies you'd ever meet. In this offering, her second solo recording (that I know of) of her 45-year career, we find some great old songs sung as only Naomi can do them. In the mix though, we do find a brand new song written especially for Naomi that perfectly describes her life in Christian music, and the walk she has with her Lord. Such songs as “UNTIL THEN”, “ONE DAY I WILL”, “GRAND HOMECOMING WEEK”, “NOTHING HERE TO HINDER ME”, “OH WHAT A SUNRISE” and “BEYOND TOMORROW” speak of the determination to carry on and the hope we have of a brighter day ahead. Songs such as “NEITHER DO I CONDEMN THEE”, “THERE'S ALWAYS A RAINBOW” and “WALK WITH ME” all speak of the comfort and joy we find in Christ and in the salvation He offers to each and every man. “THE SEEDS I HAVE SOWN” is the only new song found on this recording, and as I stated earlier, illustrates the life of Naomi Sego. I don't think there is a song that could portray what she is all about any more than this song written by Sylvia Green. Naomi has spent 45 years traveling and singing, and it has been time well spent. She has lived her life well and has been a wonderful example of integrity, class and dignity. This recording is a testament of that and these songs are her testimony. Personal Favs: ONE DAY I WILL; THE SEEDS I HAVE SOWN; NEITHER DO I CONDEMN THEE; THERE'S ALWAYS A RAINBOW; OH WHAT A SUNRISE Reader Comments
I was very let down not to see Naomi on main stage this past year at NQC, I feel that she is one of southern gospel music's true legends that is still on the road today. Her current line up (the two young men) compliments her very well, this is the best that i have heard Naomi in several years. I think that she deserves a little more respect and attention than what she has gotten from the gospel music industry. A lady that does over 200 dates a year and can still sing with the best at her age.....well i think that says alot. "Seeds That I've Sown" this is a song that you have got to hear.

I totally agree with this post. I too thought
Naomi deserved to be on main stage. Her current group is awesome! This song, is awesome! I am glad to see Bill Gaither using her on his homecoming concert in Greenville, SC. I hope to see her in my area again soon.

I have had the honor to spend a little time with Ms. Naomi over the last few years and I have to say that she is one of the nicest and most sincere ladies that I have ever met. I think that the board should be ashamed of themselves for not having her on mainstage at NQC! Some of the groups could really learn alot from her. I agree with the other post that her group is sounding the best now. May God continue to bless your ministry.

I too was disappointed that Naomi & the Segos were not a part of the NQC. I am so happy for Naomi and the guys she currently has working with her. I have promoted a many concerts over the past few years and Naomi & the Segos are one of my most requested groups. Aside from her talent and here lengendary status in gospel music, Naomi is a genuine Christian and dedicated to her ministry. Keep up the good work!!

I just went to a hear Naomi and the guys last Sunday night. She sounded better than ever, and Kasey and Caleb sounded great as well. The new song is a perfect fit.

I saw Naomi in concert Sunday night and I have to say that she never ceases to amaze me. She is still singing strong as ever. The two young men singing with her are a perfect compliment to her unmistakable voice. I believe this is the best group she's had in years. I'm glad to see her back on the Gaither Concerts, I just wish she had been apart of the homecoming concerts all along.
