The Hoppers Heritage Tour Headed for Reidsville, NC
The Hoppers headed for Reidsville on April 24th
REIDSVILLE, NC — America’s Favorite Family Of Gospel Music has something extraordinary in mind for their upcoming appearance in Reidsville.
The Hoppers, well known for their many Gaither Homecoming appearances, multiple number one hits and nearly fifty years of ministry, will perform live in concert at Reidsville High School on Sunday, April 24, at 6:00 p.m.
As part of a 48th anniversary commemoration in Southern Gospel music and ministry, the group will present the Hopper Heritage Tour at Reidsville, which has been described as an unusually intimate evening of harmony and ministry.
“We are honored to be coming to Reidsville,” said Claude Hopper, manager of the legendary musical group. “It’s always an unforgettable experience for us when we can pay a visit with our friends in this wonderful community.”
More than the family’s typical concert or Gospel sing, the Hopper Heritage Tour is the group’s “largest and most ambitious undertaking,” which has garnered rave reviews across the country since its inception. Yet, for the Hoppers, the tour is an occasion to spotlight the Savior Jesus Christ and focus in on the history and heritage of Southern Gospel music.
According to Mike Hopper, one of the specific purposes behind this tour is to raise much-needed funds for the newly chartered North Carolina Gospel Hall of Honor, a non-profit organization located in Madison, NC, that dually promotes and acknowledges the powerful influence North Carolina has made in the Gospel music industry. Proceeds raised during the evening in Reidsville will be applied toward this project.
“The Hall of Honor will ultimately recognize Gospel music artists,” Mike added, “as well as promoters, preachers, teachers and individuals from all facets of the industry. The organization celebrates Gospel music and Christ-centered ministry in all its various forms.”
The Hopper Heritage Tour has been the project of a lifetime and the group’s opportunity to emphasize their American Christian heritage and thank ministry friends for years of generous support. The Hoppers also want to use the evening to reflect on how Christ has worked in their ministry and lives.
The concert series includes a full audio/visual show, incorporating a mammoth multi-media screen, where The Hoppers — Claude, Connie, Mike, Dean, and Kim — perform many of the sacred songs from their ministry beginnings as a special collection of rare film and still photographs are coordinated and synchronized to the music.
The Reidsville performance will capitalize on the strengths of each group member, placing them in uncommon musical settings. The evening will be a rich musical tapestry, culminating in a night of explosive and powerful Christian entertainment and ministry.
“After the concert, our family looks forward to meeting and greeting Reidsville friends who attend this special evening of music,” Dean Hopper added. “Our family is honored to be coming.”
Tickets for the event are available and info can be attained by calling 336.548.2526.
Right after the Reidsville appearance, the Hopper family will be traveling to Fresno, California, to participate in the Annual Great Western Fan Festival, at Save-Mart Arena, to be held from April 28th through the 30th.
