The Frosts, Tony McGee and New Covenant Receive Award Nominations

ROGERSVILLE, TN Two gospel groups based in Rogersville, TN, The Frosts, and Tony McGee and New Covenant, have both received nominations in the Singing News 2005 Fan Awards.

Both groups are among the 10 nominees for Horizon Group of the Year, which recognizes new groups on the national southern gospel scene who have shown growth in their career over the past year.

The Top Ten nominees in all categories were announced recently following the first round of balloting in the Singing News Magazine. Thousands of Singing News subscribers made their favorites known on the Nominating Ballot that appeared in the March 2005 issue of Singing News. These nominees will appear on the Top Ten ballot that will arrive in the May 2005 subscriber issues.

For a complete list of nominees, visit http://www.singingnews.com . Only subscribers of Singing News can cast ballots. From the nominees, one group will be presented with the award in September during the National Quartet Convention held in Louisville, Kentucky.

The Frosts, with their single, Thats How A Miracle Feels," record on the MorningStar label. A new single, "Whatever Your Cross," hits radio soon. Group members are Michael Frost, Candie Frost-Davis and Brenda Cornett. Michael's songs have been recorded by numerous artists. Tony McGee and New Covenant, with their latest release, "I Have No Doubt," are also also among the Top 10 nominees in the SGN Scoops Diamond Awards for Sunrise Artist of the Year. Congratulations to the Frost Family (Michael, Brenda & Candie) on the nomination. You guys are great and thanks Michael for writing such a great song ("Three words, Three nails & 3 days") that did very well for HisSong across the country.

To a group I'm very proud of.Brenda,my daughter,I always knew you could do whatever you set your heart on when it came to singing.Michael and Candie have fast become my friends and seem like family.I've been honored having them record some of the songs I've written and they've aways made me proud.Congrats to The Frost Family.Love you all.Jean Cornett
