Greetings,

I think it's sad when southern Gospel considers it a compliment to be rated highly by the contemporary world which copies secular music for it's sound. Give me the old-fashioned way!

Tidings!
Ethan

James Hales's avatar See Ethan...that's just it...these people are taking to the conservative gospel sound. I think it's awesome!

I have the honor of not only promoting Ernie Haase and Signature Sounds music, I can call Ernie my friend. Ernie and SSQ are a class act. They are just doing their music. They are not trying to duplicate or segregate. Just be happy. This is something that hasn't happened in a long time for any Southern Gospel quartet. Their current single "Do You Wanna Be Forgiven" also broke some records. It is the highest debuting single for any quartet in history. Its debut was # 16 in Singing News for December. Thanks to the fans of ERSSQ. We love each and every one of you.

You know the Grammy's are secular in their scope also but several gospel artists have been awarded and accepted the Grammy. But my real point is that just preaching to the choir does not win many souls to the Kingdom of God. If being considered talented enough to make the Billboard charts gets just one person to listen the message in the songs they sing, then they have done what they have been called to do.

By the way, I already know one person who would never attend a church or go to a concert who has listened and wants to hear more. Is that a bad thing?

I must admit I LOVE SSQ and their sound is unreal!! I am an avid fan of SGM and these guys are quickly becoming my fav. As for Ethan's remarks, I do not see your point. Everything evolves and as long as these guys are "keeping the faith" and "spreading the word" (which they are) then so be it. I am actually quite happy to see these guys who can sign like they do and carry a very in style and cool image! I just love it!! And for a SG group to be placed where they are today, more power to them.. GOD IS THE ONE WHO GOT THEM THERE!!

It's a chart position based on sales, not a rating.

So long Signature Sound, don't come back to the NQC. Go with Gaithers who are trying to pervert Southern Gospel. GOD does not evolve, HE has not changed. Contemporary is for those who want the world in their church, not GOD.
