The Georgians Quartet has been carrying on the Southern Gospel tradition for over 40 years singing across the country and Canada. After its reorganization just over a year and a half ago, the group has commited itself to excellence in ministry and to keeping the four part men's quartet alive for years to come. A welcome addition however is the contribution of a lady member, Libby Pratt whose beautiful alto voice adds richness and anointing to the vintage quartet. Calvin McGuyrt, manager and baritone for the group says , "Someone told us it would be a smart thing to add a lady to your group" and their suggestion was confirmed.

After the reorganization of the group, Lamp Music Group offered the Georgians an opportunity to sign with them on the Mountain Top label .

Their first national radio release with Lamp "God's Touch" has received good response and the group was featured in the two Lamp Showcases at the National Quartet Convention 2003.

The Georgians have appeared recently with the Crabb Family, Ricky Atkinson and Compassion, Gold City, and the Hoskins Family in conjunction with Bill Bailey Promotions . They have just completed tours in Tennessee and Florida and will be performing in Ashburn Georgia with Michael Combs October 25 promoted by Norman Bonds Productions. The Georgians and the Crabb Family are also scheduled to be performing at Wild Adventures Theme Park in Valdosta, Georgia at various times during the month of December.

I was glad to see this article, as this group has been on my mind recently. I collect information about southern gospel groups, and I have nothing on the Georgians. Is this the same group that sang "I've Got a Mansion" a few decades ago? Is there a web site I could go to? Thanks in advance for any help, and I look forward to hearing more from this group.

The Georgians, for many years, gave the Southern Gospel Music Industry great music and stylings. A couple of former members of several years back were Trudie McNabb and Bass Singer Randy Taylor who were great talent!. I believe the current group will have a bright future. It's good to see Calvin, hanging in there after all of these years and going strong!. I pray, that God will bless their Ministry Abundantly!.

I AM THRILLED TO SEE YOU SALUTE THE GEORGIANS. THEY WERE HERE IN NASHVILLE, TN IN SEPTEMBER AND WE ALL LOVED THEM. THEIR NEW CD, 'GOD'S TOUCH' FROM LAMP MUSIC CO. IS GREAT.

I have been hearing and enjoying the Georgians for many years. I think the current group that Calvin has assembled is the best. The unusal variety they include is refreshing in gospel music. I will see you at Wild Adventures theme park in December.

Maybe the Georgian's could be on the Waycross All Night Sing Show!, That would be Just Awesome to have a legendary group that helped make Southern Gospel music what it is today, there!!!!!
