Janice Lynn Peavy - Ain’t Gonna Stop My Climb
A really good effort is just what you get from Janice Lynn Peavy on this project. Janice has a nice soft country sound that is soothing to the soul. With background singers like Sarah Delane along with Reggie and Lady Love Smith, this CD is enhanced to the max. The title song written by Depp Britt “Ain’t Gonna Stop My Climb” is a neat song with a heavy Bass track that gets the blood to flowing. This song has a real country flavor. “I Plead The Blood” another Depp Britt song slows the pace down a bit as Janice shows that she can certainly interpret a ballad with feeling and soul. Included are a couple of Southern Gospel “classics” as Janice captures the mood of “In The Garden” and I’d Rather Have Jesus”. The opening and closing songs were penned by Janice and her Pastor, Johnny Minick. “Holding To His Hand” has a unique sound with a strong message of encouragement. “Pressing On” is an upbeat song with as challenge in the words for each of us to keep “pressing on” in this walk with the Lord. Janice also co-wrote a song with Aaron Minick. “Jesus Is The Rock” has a little more progressive feel to it, but I really like it. Other good songs on this CD include “It Still Feels Like It Felt” and “I Can’t Wait To Get To Heaven” both written by Tammy Jones Robinette, and “Give It Up”. Independent Label
