Produced by Zane King and Kevin Ward
Recorded at Kilowatt Studio, Murfreesboro, TN

The Journeymen Quartet have evolved into a quartet with a tremendous sound. Great harmonies, nice arrangements, and vocal expressions all make this a very exciting project. The have long been known for their ability to lay a ballad out with great emotion. This CD is no exception with a couple of ballads that will give you goose bumps standing on your arms.

The opening, upbeat number, “We’re Not Alone” featuring Lead Stacey Murphy, proves that the Journeymen can sing that straight-up-quartet style. This is also the first radio release form this project. There is a nice little diddy on the end of this song with some really great moves vocally, so be listening for it.

The harmony found on “Life Is Worth The Living” can only be explained in one word, WOW! There are some great two, three, and four part harmonies on this song. The track is interesting because of the different instruments used. “Sing Your Blues Away,” where pianoman Brad Kemp shines on the turnaround, “His Marvelous Love” and “I Am The Man” are all songs that really get you moving and your feet tapping. All three songs happen to feature the fine young bass singer, Will Van Wyngarden.

One of my favorites on the CD is the ballad “Jesus Cried.” This song has a great message and I truly hope they release it to radio. The track is simple, yet so effective, allowing the voices to make the effect with some strong expression. Another favorite song is a Patriotic theme, “Price Of Freedom.” Featuring baritone Michael Mardis, this song demands a response from you. I suggest you play it safe and have a hanky close by as you listen to it.

Other songs include “Between Two Thieves,” “Great Is My Reward,” featuring tenor Dallas Rogers, “Abraham’s Ram,” and “New Song.” All in all you will not find a bad song on this project.

This is an awesome recording and the guys did a great job. However, this album review does not do it justice. You should just go out and pick up a copy for yourself. Great job Journeymen!!!!!!!!!!!

Deon gave a good rating. I just wish he had went into more detail with the article. Four songs on the recording are briefly mentioned in one sentence. Sorry to affend. I'm just picky

This project is top notch. This is the first recording I have ever heard in which I honestly like every song. I do not skip any of them. My favorite is "Between Two Thieves". I usually repeat that one a couple of times before moving on. The Journeymen have that tight quartet sound back. I hope to hear them live very soon.

Deon, Great review!! I totally agree with your comments about the great ballads and the tight harmonies. This is a very powerful project. We're Not Alone is a top notch radio release. My personal favorite though is New Song. Great job Journeymen!! Deon...good words!

This album is the best yet for the guys. Which is saying alot considering how awesome "We Will Not Fail" was. My favorite is "Great Is Thy Reward". I know how excited the guys were about this song. They let me hear the demo on the bus before we sang one night and to hear how they evolved this song is amazing! I love not only the simplicity of the track, but the fact that it tells a wonderful story. This is a tremendous quartet and they are true gentlemen. Stacy has been a great mentor to me in my own group and I respect the way he runs his group. With honesty and integrity. I'm very proud to call you all friends!
