Kingdom Heirs - Going On With The Song
There may have been some personnel changes in this dynamic group, but you sure can’t tell it by listening. This is as good a group of Kingdom Heirs as I have ever heard. There seems to already be a chemistry between the vocalists on this group that causes them to mesh. The first song on the CD is also the first radio release, and it has the potential of going high on the weekly and monthly charts. “Mighty Deep Well” is a medium tempo song that grabs your attention. Penned by Rodney Griffin, “The Gift Of Salvation” is a beautiful ballad, sung by talented Tenor Jodi Hosterman. Arthur Rice is featured on another Rodney Griffin song, “He Had To Rise.” This one may be my favorite song on the CD. The harmony is fantastic, but the message of the song is so plain and strong, that this cut just stands out. No one can “cover” a song like the Kingdom Heirs. “Good News From The Graveyard” is an old Gold City song, but by the time Bass singer is finished, you’re saying Gold “who?” Penned by Phil Cross, “The Lord Is Great And Wonderful” is a beautiful hymn that may be sang in churches for years to come. It features a little bit of everyone. Another song from the pen of Rodney Griffin, “I Want To Be The One” is one of those songs that you will be singing along with even before the song is over. If only one returns to thank Him…. “I Want To Be The One”. If you close your eyes, you would think that Paul Downing was singing the Bass on this song. Jeff Chapman does a great job on the feature of this song. Of course it’s another one that Rodney Griffin wrote, but “Plain Ol’ Everyday People” is a fun song. Rodney Griffin authored two more songs on this CD. “Going On With The Song” and “Enjoy The Lord”, which features Baritone Steve French. I really like the flow of this song. Kingdom Heirs fan or not, this is a must have CD.

"Good News From The Graveyard" is an Anchormen song that Jeff Chapman sang on their "Anticipation" project.

I was just getting ready to say that! Gold City never did that song.

The Perry Sisters also recorded that song as well.

Are you sure it wasn't Ben Speer who recorded it after his death? :o)
Sorry. Inside joke that Deon should get. :o)

this is in my opinon the best quartet cd of the year, maybe even the best release in all of southern gospel. every song is a potential radio single. my favorites are the first single mighty deep well, he had to rise, good news from the graveyard, i wanna be the one and hes already in your tomorrow. the only complaint i have is that the total playing time of the cd is only 33min. it could have used a couple of more songs, but other than that its an excellent album. a must have for any quartet fan.

"He Had to Rise", "The Lord is Great and Wonderful" are two of my favs, but the song that makes this recording even more stellar is the song "He's Already in Your Tomorrow." Awesome song, and I expect to see it in the charts in the coming months. Though I am trying to be a little more conservative in my ratings, I would have given this a 4 1/2 rating, though I do think a 5 star is fair.

I think the Kingdom Heirs were better off with the others that started their own quartet Integrity. The tenor was much stronger along with the bass.

Amanda, you post sounds a little suspicious. Jody and Jeff are both excellent singers. I really like both the Kingdom Heirs and Integrity, and they are both on the same level... GREAT.
