Recorded at Square One Studios

This CD is a great example of just how far Southern Gospel Christmas albums have come. I am old enough to remember when the Statesmen and Blackwoods made their Christmas records (yes, they were records back then). While they sounded good for the era, they still sounded like a Gospel quartet singing Christmas songs. It was good, but the secular artists just seemed to outshine them on their recordings. This Legacy Five CD doesn't sound like a Southern Gospel CD, it sounds like a Christmas CD, and in my humble opinion, that is good.

The CD starts off with a fun filled song in "We Need A Little Christmas". This song is sure to get you in t he Christmas spirit. I love the track on "The First Noel", and Frank Seamans does a very tender rendition of this beautiful Christmas Carol. "Festival of Carols" is a nice medley of classics that will go great for any home putting up the Christmas tree and getting the Christmas off to a fitting start.

"Christmas With A Capital C" is no doubt my favorite song on the CD. It's full of energy and says a message that needs to be said today. Let's just say that this song is NOT politically correct. I hope this cut gets some good radio play. I also really like the 40s sounding version of "Winter Memories".
Glen Dustin puts his heart into the old Classic "Do You Hear What I Hear?", and Scott Howard really gets into Kirk Talley's "Grandma's House For Christmas". Scott Fowler does a very nice interpretation of the anthem penned by Chris Rice, "Welcome To Our World". This song is a classic in the making.. Tim Parton does his magic on the "Piano Christmas Medley" which includes some fun songs like "Here Comes Santa Claus", Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer", "Frosty The Snowman", and "Let It Snow".

Other songs include "A Little Peace On Earth", "Angles From The realm Of Glory", and "Oh Holy Night".
