For some of the best sounds in bluegrass gospel, look no further than the Rochesters.  Consisting of mom and dad, Harold and Joyce Rochester, their son and daughter Ben and Becky along with Becky’s husband Scott, smooth singing, excellent musicianship, heartfelt vocals and strong lyrics, all combine to make for an exceptional recording.

ACCESS TO THE THRONE ROOM“ gets things started with its jubilant message, that since we are born again, we have unlimited access to the Throne Room.  Along with the abovementioned song, there are several songs here that are meant to be of encouragement.  After listening to ”THE BEST IS YET TO COME“, ”THERE’S NOT A PROBLEM“, ”ONE BEGGAR TO ANOTHER“, ”HEAVEN WILL TAKE CARE OF IT ALL“, ”I’LL NEVER GET TOO OLD TO PRAY“ and ”THAT’S HIM“ you are left with an overwhelming feeling that everything is going to be okay and you can rejoice in knowing that God has you in the palm of His hand and His eyes are upon you.

The old song ”COME UNTO ME“ is a wonderful comforting song that Christ’s yoke is easy, and that He came that we may find rest.

THE PRICE OF A BOOK“ is a striking ballad depicting the story of martyrs who are killed for Christ’s sake and for spreading the gospel, and presents lingering question, “Why can’t we stand up for what they died for?” Moving on to the ultimate sacrifice of Christ on the cross, we find the song ”ONCE AND FOR ALL.”

Offering hope for those who have lost their loved ones, ”IF YOU ONLY KNEW“ gives reassurance that their loved ones are in a better place and are with the Lord.  The classic hymn ”IN THE GARDEN“ closes out the recording as Harold and Joyce Rochester sing as a touching duet.

The Rochesters have a very laid back approach to their style and one that can easily be enjoyed.  If bluegrass stylings are what you prefer with your Southern Gospel, then check out the Rochesters.

Personal Favs: THE BEST IS YET TO COME; ONE BEGGAR TO ANOTHER; COME UNTO ME; I’LL NEVER GET TOO OLD TO PRAY; THE PRICE OF A BOOK

The Song If You Only Knew, is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard. I was listening to a local radio station and heard it. I must admit I had chills from head to toe, I cried and prayed and got the best blessing I have had in a long time.
I would truly love to know where I could get your tape or cd of the song so i could learn it.
I sing in my home church and my voice is only for God but I would be in your debt if you would tell me where I could get it.
God blest me thur that song and I know he will continue to bless you all with your music.
I am truly a fan of the Rochesters from now on.. God bless take care...
Waiting anxiously to hear from you....

I really love the song "If you only knew". My husband just lost his mom to cancer. And as weird as it seems we were praying the same thing...that God would take her pain away...and he did "Praise the Lord". I too would like to get the CD of this song. I thank god for the word that is spread by radio...thanks God Bless You in your ministry.

Ben Rochester is awesome!!! I play the Guitar and practice trying his licks all the time. He is awesome. The Rochester's are the Best Group Ever and they are REAL. Their lives back up their music.
