Steve Warren - The Voice of Christmas
Produced by Steve Warren
One of the most under-rated voices in Gospel Music is Steve Warren and he shows this as he sings all of the background voices on this CD.
This CD is full of familiar Christmas classics which will warm your heart with the feelings of Christmas joy.
Starting with "The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year" the mood is set with a light and lively sound. Steve turns us to a more solemn and
worshipful time as he sings "Silent Night". The arrangement on this cut is really nice with some unique chord structures causing some great harmony.
In the Medley "Angels We Have Heard On High/Joy To The World", Steve has recorded himself to sound like a male chorus. It's a great sound on this one. No Christmas CD is complete without a great version of "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" and that's just what you'll hear with this cut.
Other classics include "Away In A Manger", "C-H-R-I-S-T-M-A-S", both songs that I remember from my childhood, and it wouldn't be complete without "The Christmas Song". I think that I hear a little Elvis Presley influence as Steve sings "If Everyday Was Like Christmas". The last song and maybe the most unique is the final cut, "The Hallelujah Chorus". I think Steve is singing all eight parts on this. You must hear this one to appreciate it.
