Trinity - Let Me Be Holy
![]() Producer: John Darin Rowsey Trinity is an Arkansas vocal trio consisting of Darrin Clanton , Lisa Clanton , and Nicole Lloyd . Their 2003 release Let Me Be Holy begins with "House Of The Lord," a Truth flavored tune written by producer John Darin Rowsey . The CD concludes with three tunes written by Lisa Clanton. "Consider" has a nice lyrical hook and works really well with a trio arrangement. "When A New Life Begins" is a slow number that describes a new born baby in the first verse and associates that with new birth in Christ. It's a very good concept for a song, but the performanceof this piece isn't entirely convincing. "Let Me Be Holy" is a modern worship song that is tailor made for a trio. A cover of the classic "He Didn't Throw The Clay Away" is included, as well as a couple of other songs that have been recorded in recent years by popular artists with similar arrangements. Overall, Let Me Be Holy offers good song selection and production quality. Packaging quality is decent as well. Medium to uptempo trio tunes like "I Want It All" and "While I Wait" are Trinity's forte. They particularly excel on tunes that allow them to be vocally gritty, but they're weaker on slow songs that force them to sing with less vocal flair. Reader Comments |
