Update on Paul Lancaster

SouthernGospelNews recently spoke with Paul Lancaster. Paul has been filling in with Freedom Voice and CrossWay Quartet lately. We asked him about the recent press release concerning his new position with Freedom Voice. Paul responded, "The gun was probably jumped a little too soon as this is not yet a permanent position. I have been doing a lot of fill in work lately and am enjoying that, however, I haven't made up my mind on any permanent positions or even whether I will start my own group."

Paul has filled in for many of the best groups including The Martins, Karen Peck & New River as well as Freedom Voice and CrossWay Quartet. Whatever decision Paul makes about his future we are confident that it will be great!

Paul, I want to say that you are a great vocalist and you encourage me. I pray that God leads you in the right decision. As a singer myself it is hard to make decisions like these. God bless you and I pray that you make the right one. God will lead you don't worry. Sometimes we just have to stand still and that can be hard.

Maybe Paul should tell FREEDOM VOICE about his status with the group. It's now (Sept 29) 12 days after they posted a press release welcoming him to the group.. and it's still the front page news on the FV website.

Paul Lancaster is one of the most complete singers in Gospel Music. It is not by chance that so many groups have called him to fill in. There are not many singer that could step in and sing with so many different groups/different styles and do it so flawlessly.

He also happens to be one of the nicest guys around. I hope he finds a very high profile job soon.

Chuck......should you be so suprised that a SG group is lax on updating their website?

I think Paul is one of the best singers and one of the nicest guys also. I miss him being with the Mullins, but he is doing awesome anyway. Paul, we all miss you being around.
